You can use deck2hand without an account, and if you do, the site holds nothing about you. Searching happens in your browser: the card list is downloaded once, and everything after that runs locally, so what you type is never sent anywhere and there is no search history to keep. Your theme and layout preferences are stored on your device and disappear if you clear your browser data.

Signing in with Discord lets you write entries and vote. Discord handles the sign-in itself, so the site never sees your password. Your Discord username is kept and shown as the author of anything you write, and your votes are recorded against your account so that you can change them later and so one person cannot vote twice.

There are no ads, no tracking cookies and no analytics script. Cloudflare hosts the site and Supabase stores the entry database, and both see your IP address when a page loads, the same as any website's host would.
